CASA BRUTALE – ambitious creation of architecture, the house is located in a cliff overlooking the sea

The unsurpassed project Studio OPA (Open Platform for Architecture), half-Greek, half-German, has the atmosphere in the exclusive James Bond style. Casa Brutale, so was called the house because of a purely minimalist style, in contrast to the rough and wild nature that surrounds it, but with which it blends
This tribute to “brutalism of the 50s inspired Le Corbusier, the master of exposed concrete,” béton brut “, which in postwar times together with his colleagues have used the project in many ways, the project to restore the city destroyed after the bombing.
Casa Brutale is “stunning” window to the Aegean Sea in Rhodes. The ceiling consists of a swimming pool, reinforced with glass-fiber, so the light spreads naturally, wrapping wall and “diluting it”, giving ease of wet concrete and the interior with geometric and simple lines, which gives the impression to the visitor that it is completely surrounded by water.
In fact, Casa Brutale structure is very modest and almost invisible at the level of impact on the landscape if not paying attention to the pool and long stairs to the entrance, which leads down 50 steps, right in the heart of the house, which was built with a glass facade. Except of the entrance wooden door, there are no other windows or doors. Casa Brutale has been designed with maximum compliance with the framework of ecological architecture, materials: wood, glass and concrete raw, which emphasize a rocky seascape.
Casa Brutale will have an area of 270 sq. m. (Used about 180 sq. m.), The cost is approximately 2.5 million USD. It may host up to six people, will have underground parking for 3 cars, and will be oriented to the northwest, it will be completed by the end of 2018.
